Over 60 per cent of Covid-19 cases in S-Ward reported from Powai’s elite housing societies

The S-Ward of Brihanmumbai Municipal Company (BMC) claimed 148 Covid-19 instances past week, of which 60 to 70 for every cent were being reported from the Powai space. According to BMC knowledge, 12 housing societies in Hiranandani alongside with IIT-Bombay described the maximum amount of conditions. At present, IIT Bombay in Powai has 10 active instances.
BMC’s S-Ward is made up of Bhandup, Kanjurmarg and Powai. According to Dr Avinash Waydande, professional medical officer of the ward, in excess of 60 per cent of the circumstances in the ward are from elite housing localities these kinds of as Brentwood, Avalon, Raj Grandeur, Jaltarang, Evita, Golden Oak, Torino Hiranandani South Avenue, Powai Cosmos Politan, Hiranandani Zen Maple, Trinity, Skyline Villa, Mahada and Shivneri (IIT Bombay).
Talking about the instances, Dr Waydande explained, “While 90 per cent of the patients are asymptomatic and in household isolation, all of them have a vacation record and most have gained two doses of the Covid vaccine.”
