Eleven people displaced in Lexington after apartment fire on Sunday

Eleven folks ended up displaced soon after an apartment fire on Drexel Circle on May well 29.

At close to 1:45, firefighters from the Lexington Fire Department responded to a report of a trash can fireplace at a duplex condominium on Drexel Circle.

When they arrived, crews uncovered large smoke coming from one of the flats. Firefighters were being able to hold the fire from spreading to the adjoining apartment, while it did sustain small smoke destruction.

Officials have been able to identify that all the occupants from the two apartments ended up ready to vacate the dwelling just before fireplace crews arrived.

There was a person grownup and four youngsters in the apartment where the fire begun and six citizens in the adjoining residence.

Both of those units ended up considered unsafe to occupy. The inhabitants ended up assisted by Pink Cross and Lexington Housing Authority.
